What Liturgical calendar is used?

We use the current Liturgical calendar issued by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). All of our information is kept up to date with the latest USCCB Liturgical calendar information for readings, feast days, and vestment colors.

What six month period will I get if I download today?

We have divided the Liturgical Year into two approximate six month periods. One period is from the beginning of the Liturgical Year on the First Sunday of Advent through the end of Easter. The other period immediately follows from the end of Easter through the end of the Liturgical Year. You are able to choose which period, or both, to download.

Is the daily Sacred Art changed every year ?

While some of the Sacred Art selections will remain the same from year to year, most of the curated art selections will change every Liturgical year.

How many Sacred Art images are included with each download?

There are approximately six months of images included in each download. It will change slightly every year, but for 2025, the first period contains 189 images, and the second period contains 175 images. There is one image for each day in the Liturgical Year.

How can I use the Sacred Art images on my electronic devices?

You can use your Sacred Art images in a wide variety of ways on your electronic devices. For your phones and watches, both Apple and Android, the Sacred Art images can easily be set up as a widget or wallpaper background that changes daily. For your laptop, desktop or tablet, the Sacred Art can also be set up as larger images for widgets or wallpaper backgrounds. These can be used on both Apple and Windows-based devices. For your electronic picture frames, such as the 15-inch Aura Walden Frame (auraframes.com) which we recommend, the Sacred Art images can be set up as pictures that change daily throughout the Liturgical Year. For some television screens, such as the Samsung Frame, the Sacred Art images can be set up to rotate daily on the idle screen.
